Bruce Guider
FBI Retired Special Agent Bruce J. Guider, with almost 26 years’ experience. During this time, I lead many different details/federal violations/cases to include, but not limited to, National Security, Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction Chemical Biological Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive, gangs, drugs, SWAT, executive protection, under cover operator, fugitives, white collar crime, and other violations during the time with the FBI. I enjoy finding solutions to problems and protecting individuals, companies, and proprietary information.
I was SWAT for over 19 years of my career and have provided tactical training and close quarters battle (CQB) scenarios. Through SWAT I was also on the Director of the FBI protective security detail which is a mobile team comprised of certified SWAT operators that complete executive protection for all movements of the FBI Director.
I was also the Weapons of Mass Destruction Coordinated for 19 years and provided preparedness training for the United States as relates to WMD hardening of target locations as well as what to do to if a WMD event occurred at a venue. I have coordinated large scale training and exercises to include international event with multiple other countries involved. I have coordinated large multiple modality training events both tabletop and field training with military, private sector, federal, state, and local partners. I am passionate about pre-event planning, exercises, training, liaison, intelligence, and hardening of vulnerable locations.
I was also the FBI Special Events Coordinator and have coordinated strike teams for Hazardous Material detection as relates to Special events and steady state efforts. I set up policy and procedures for joint hazardous material teams that was taken into policy for the state and best practices by the FBI. I have coordinated large scale events in my official capacity with the following events: Super Bowls, Presidential Inauguration, NCAA football / basketball, NFL, NBA, Indy racing events, NASCAR racing events, Formula 1 racing event, etc. Large scale events require fluid thinking and ability to work through venue, staffing, and protective measure issues to make sure of a safe event for fans and players.
After retiring from the FBI, I’m currently working at a clear contract defense location as the Security Manager and Insider Threat Senior Official and maintain my Top Secret and Secret clearance. I oversee overall security management and armed guard forces for the large venue that manufactures protective measures equipment for the United States Military and Ally countries. I also have coordinated large scale exercises for active shooter, established valuable federal, state, and local liaison partnerships as well as Intel communications as relates to the venue and sector.
